Five people on trial in Turkey over Krokus case
The Istanbul Prosecutor's Office has indicted five prisoners suspected of involvement in the sabotage attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22, 2024.
The indictment of the Istanbul prosecutor's office states that the suspects Khofizjon Usmanov, Muteullo Asoev, Rahmatullo Solikov, Muhammadrahim Faizov, and Hamza Muhammad have connections with the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Moscow - Shamsiddin Fariduni and Saydakra Rajabalizoda.
According to the investigation, Faizov, a citizen of Tajikistan, arrived in Turkey via Istanbul Airport with his wife, children, and Rajabalizode on January 5, 2024. Faizov and Usmanov lived with Fariduni in a safe house in the Esenyurt district for a period of time.
It is noted that the investigation revealed that the defendants and the perpetrators of the terrorist attack communicated by telephone.
The prosecutor's office is asking for the defendants to be sentenced to between 7.5 and 15 years in prison for "membership in an armed terrorist organization."
The court accepted the indictment for consideration.
