Fines for failure to comply with a request from a government official have been increased

The law signed by the President of Uzbekistan yesterday, July 31, states:

from 5 to 12 times the minimum wage (previously 1 time) for failure to comply with the legal requirements of an employee of the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard;

Amendments have been made to impose a fine of 12 to 30 times the minimum wage (previously 15) or administrative detention for up to fifteen days if the same offense is committed again within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty.

The law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber on January 21. It was approved by the Senate on May 28.
