Electronic voting will be tested for the first time in Uzbekistan. The Central Election Commission has decided to test electronic voting in 10 polling stations in Tashkent in the elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils to be held on October 27, 2024.

It is noted that it is planned to test the process of electronic voting for the first time in the history of the country in order to make it easier for voters.
It is said that the electronic voting procedure serves to quickly determine voting and election results, ensure the legitimacy of voting processes, and optimize the work volume of election commissions.
The device will consist of a monitor, a printer that prints and automatically cuts paper, a ballot box and a remote activation button specially programmed with electronic forms of ballot papers. The procedure for using it will be explained by the responsible member of the precinct election commission.
The system will be implemented in the capital's 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th polling stations based on the recommendation of the regional election commission of Tashkent city.
