Chief imams-khatibs appointed for three regions
On February 28, a video conference meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiknazar with the participation of district and city chief imams-khatibs operating in the Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and Tashkent regions.
The meeting also considered organizational issues. The chief imam-khatib of the Surkhandarya region, Aliakbar domla Sayfuddinov, was relieved of his duties at his own request and was retained as imam-khatib of the "Hakim Termiziy" mosque in the city of Termez. Rasuljon domla Abdullaev, who has been working as the chief imam of the city of Termez and imam-khatib of the "Manguzar" mosque, was appointed as the representative of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan in the Surkhandarya region and the chief imam-khatib of the region.
Ahmadkhan Qori Alimov, who has been working as an imam-khatib at the “Oltintep” mosque in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city, has been appointed as the representative of the Samarkand region of the Muslim Office of Uzbekistan and the chief imam-khatib of the region. Yakubjon Domla Mansurov, who had been temporarily acting as the representative of the Samarkand region of the Muslim Office of Uzbekistan, has been retained as the deputy chief imam-khatib and imam-khatib of the “Khoja Ahrari Vali” mosque in the Samarkand district.
Jasurbek Domla Raupov, the representative of the Tashkent region of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, was also voluntarily relieved of his post and left as imam-khatib of the "Zangiota" mosque in the Zangiota district.
Daniyor Domla Ikramov, who has been working as the chief imam of the Tashkent district and imam-khatib of the "Hasanboy Ota" mosque in this district, has been appointed as the representative of the Tashkent region of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and the chief imam-khatib of the region.
