Changes to traffic rules will be introduced in Uzbekistan

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has developed a draft of amendments and additions to certain resolutions in order to develop road infrastructure and increase traffic safety.

According to the announced project, "smart traffic lights" and modern technical equipment will be installed at intersections and pedestrian crossings.

It is planned that road lighting, cleaning, and marking services will be organized through private companies.

Also, areas where traffic accidents frequently occur are classified as "Accident Hotspots" and are divided into three types.

These are areas where long-term, seasonal, and short-term accidents occur, the project text states.
