Bust of Ahmad al-Farghani installed in Turkish capital

The unveiling ceremony of the bust of scholar and statesman Ahmad al-Farghani was held in the Turkish capital, Ankara.

It was reported that the event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Avazkhon Tojikhanov, Governor of the Kecioren district of Ankara Mesut Ozarslan, Deputy Secretary General of the International Turkic Cultural Organization - TURKSOY Sayid Yusuf, and representatives of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

In his speech, Avazkhon Tojikhanov spoke about the development of strategic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey in recent years and emphasized the great importance of installing a bust of scholar Ahmad al-Farghani in the central park of Ankara.

Kecioren District Governor Mesut Ozerslan and TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayid Yusuf Ahmad al-Farghani emphasized that the scientific legacy of the scientist is a source of pride and inspiration not only for Uzbeks, but also for all Turkic peoples.
