Bus services will be launched from Uzbekistan to neighboring countries, China and Russia

Tashkent. January 9, 2025 — The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan plans to organize bus services to a number of countries in order to develop the international passenger transportation sector. The government has called on carriers to cooperate with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia and China to launch bus services on new routes.

The main planned directions are as follows:

To Kazakhstan

Bukhara—Turkestan

Urgench—Aktov

Fergana—Almaty (via Tajikistan)


To Tajikistan

Samarkand—Dushanbe

Bukhara—Dushanbe


To Kyrgyzstan

Andijan—Osh

Andijan—Jalalabad

Andijan—Arslanbob

Kasonsoy—Jalalabad

Bukhara—Bishkek


To Russia

Surkhandarya—Bukhara—Urgench—Nukus—Moscow

Urgench—Nukus—Ufa

Nukus—Krasnodar

Tashkent—Ufa

Tashkent—Krasnodar


To China

Nukus—Urgench—Bukhara—Urumqi


According to the Ministry of Transport, expanding regular international passenger routes will increase convenience for passengers and strengthen regional ties. Carriers can submit their proposals to the ministry in order to attract foreign partners and organize bus services on parity terms.

Carriers also have the opportunity to submit bids on other routes not listed above.
