AZAL pays compensation to families of those killed and injured in plane crash near Aktau
Each victim will be paid 20,000 manats ($11,760), and the families of the deceased will be paid 40,000 manats ($23,520).
The Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has determined the amount of compensation for the victims and family members of those killed in the crash of an Embraer 190 aircraft near Aktau.
According to the information, each victim will be paid 20,000 manats ($11,760), and the families of each of the deceased will be paid 40,000 manats ($23,520), the AZAL press service reported.
In addition, all passengers will additionally receive appropriate insurance benefits, which are applied in accordance with Azerbaijani legislation and best international practice.
As a reminder, on December 25, an AZAL plane flying from Baku to Grozny crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. There were 67 people on board, 38 of whom died.
