AOKA has been abolished, and a National Content Production Center will be established in its place.
The activities of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications have been terminated by a new decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, presidential spokesman Sherzod Asadov reported.
Now, any regulatory legal document and project will be developed based on research by scientific and analytical institutes under the Presidential Administration, recommendations from scientists, and local and foreign experts.
Important areas will be implemented through project offices. A "compliance" system will be established in the administration's activities. This will ensure transparency, strengthen executive discipline, and prevent corruption.
The positions of presidential representatives have been introduced in some areas. The Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AOKA) has also been terminated, and a National Content Production Center is being established on its basis.
This is expected to increase the accountability of government agencies to the public.
