An Uzbek migrant worker saved several people from a fire in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The fire happened early in the morning on April 25 on Podol'skaya Street in St. Petersburg. The apartments in the five-story building were on fire. Firefighters arrived and set up a ladder, but it was difficult for the girls to reach it. Then a migrant worker from Uzbekistan came to their aid.

He climbed up through the pipeline and began to pull people out. The girls, caught in the flames, climbed out of the windowsill one by one, and with his help moved to a safe place, and then went down through the ladder.

The hero turned out to be 48-year-old Olimjon Ibrohimov, an employee of the JKS-1 point of the district, who is originally from Uzbekistan and has been working as a yard cleaner in St. Petersburg for 7 years.

"I was working, and I saw smoke coming out. Firefighters were called. The windows were opened, the girls screamed and called for help. He said to them: "Do not hide! The main thing is not to jump! I said. I thought that it is necessary to help people. I have been living in St. Petersburg for seven years, working as a janitor. "Before that, I was in a military base in Uzbekistan, so I was physically well prepared," he said.
