More than 70 leaders of influential international organizations, religious figures, muftis and famous scholars from 22 countries of the world are expected to participate in it.

In particular, one of the mujtahid scholars of our time, professor of Darul Ulum Karachi Islamic University, Mufti, Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Osmani, Chief Mufti of Egypt, Sheikh Nazir Muhammad Ayyod, Head of Darululum Devband Madrasah, Chairman of the Society of Indian Scholars, Maulana Arshad Madani will visit.
"The main goal of the conference is to widely promote the values of the Islamic religion, its peace-loving essence in the conditions of intense globalization, to educate young people in the spirit of religious tolerance and respect for universal values, to form in them a sense of intolerance against radical views alien to the Islamic religion, and to preserve the experience of Uzbekistan, the balance of religiosity and secularism. is to convey its efforts to the international community," the report said.
The conference will begin its work on October 15 in the conference hall of the "Hilton" complex in Tashkent. The conference will be divided into 3 branches.
The first branch: "The role of the Hanafi-Maturidi teaching in the preservation of Islamic values."
Second branch: "Islam in Globalization: Moderation and Tolerance".
The third branch: "Factors of prevention of ideological threats in modern society and practical solutions."
The conference will continue on October 16 in Khiva. The final declaration of the international conference on "Islam - the religion of peace and goodness" will be adopted there.
At the same time, educational talks with foreign guests and religious scholars are planned.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the holding of this conference on September 19, 2023 at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
"We are rightly proud of the fact that our country is the homeland of great scholars and thinkers such as Al-Khorazmi, Beruni, Ibn Sina, Imam Bukhari, Mirza Ulugbek, Alisher Navoi, who made an incomparable contribution to the development of world science and showed Islam as a religion of knowledge and peace. In order to study the rich legacy of such great scientists, to deeply reveal the true humanitarian essence of Islam, we will put forward the initiative of holding an international conference on the topic of "Islam - the religion of peace and goodness" in Uzbekistan in 2024," the president said.
