A woman who taught the Qur'an in East Turkestan was imprisoned for a long time
After the events of 2014 in East Turkestan, a woman who taught the Qur'an to her neighbors was imprisoned for 10 years. The woman, who was released after the end of her sentence, was caught again and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
In 2014, the Chinese government imprisoned Hayrinisa Mamet, a Uyghur woman in East Turkestan, for 10 years on the charge of "trying to divide China by teaching the Koran to young people." After serving this sentence, in the middle of this year he was sentenced to another 14 years in prison, the Altruist News Telegram channel reported.
Mamet, who is in his 40s, was arrested on May 22, 2014, during mass arrests following the attacks in Urumqi. Mamet's "guilt," which had nothing to do with the attack, was teaching the Koran at the request of neighbors.
After his release, Mamet was re-arrested and sentenced to an additional term. Two other people from his village were arrested again after being released.
China is keeping more than a million Uyghur Muslims in re-education camps. Measures of repression and assimilation (mixing with other peoples and sending them into one - Azon Global) are increasing in the region. Muslims are being tortured and brutalized in the camps. Historic mosques and Islamic buildings are being destroyed, and the rest are being turned into propaganda centers for the Communist Party.
Islamic customs such as praying, fasting, wearing a hijab, shaving, reciting the Qur'an are restricted and prohibited. People who lead an Islamic way of life are persecuted, arrested and sent to camps.
Many Uyghurs who fled the persecution are living in different countries of the world in fear of being deported to China. The Chinese government is arresting their families to send them back.
