A rector was appointed to Tashkent Islamic Institute

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Gafurov Uygun Tolkinovich was appointed rector of the Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari.

On December 6, this fee was announced at an extended meeting of the institute's pedagogic team.

Before being appointed to this position, Uygun Gafurov was working as the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. Earlier, Muzaffar Komilov, the former adviser to the president, was appointed as the rector of the academy.

The son of Professor Muhammadsiddikov Muhammadolim Muhammadroziq, who worked as the rector of this institute, continues his work as the deputy chairman of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan for Youth Affairs.
