According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of efforts to expand economic cooperation, support sustainable development, strengthen the interdependence of transport and logistics, and promote peace and prosperity in the region. It was noted that special attention was paid to joint efforts to mitigate the consequences of environmental changes.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken expressed his commitment to the effective implementation of the agreements reached at the results of the first summit of the "C5+1" heads of state held on September 19, 2023, as well as the New York Declaration, and the "C5+1" dialogue on mineral resources; The first "B5+1" forum on supporting business cooperation between the USA and Central Asia and the "C5+1" special session on disability rights are being held," the report said.
The participants also mentioned the need to further activate and coordinate joint efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, transnational and cybercrime, and radicalization.
In 2025, the 10th anniversary of cooperation within the "C5+1" format will be celebrated. In this regard, the parties welcomed the desire of the countries of the region and the United States to continue searching for regional solutions to global issues, as well as to deepen cooperation within the diplomatic platform "C5+1" .
