A major traffic accident involving 95 vehicles occurred in Kazakhstan

A major traffic accident (ADR) involving 95 vehicles occurred on the Astana-Petropavlovsk highway in Kazakhstan. The cause of the accident was a snowstorm, poor visibility, and drivers' failure to observe speed and safe distance. On January 3, 2025, a major ADR occurred on section 153 of the highway near the village of Janatalap in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the national road operator KazAvtoJol. As a result of the accident, several vehicles were damaged and some passengers received minor injuries. Currently, police officers and KazAvtoJol specialists are working at the scene. Assistance is being provided to the owners of the damaged vehicles and measures are being taken to restore traffic. Earlier, the movement of all vehicles on this section of the road was limited due to bad weather conditions. Later, the road was cleared and traffic resumed, but a major collision occurred due to speeding.
