A conference dedicated to the place of Turkestan in the history of the Turkic peoples was held in Tashkent
On December 5-6, an international conference on the topic "The place of Turkestan in the history of Turkic peoples" was held in Tashkent. This was reported by the Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA).
Visiting scientists from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries, representatives of international organizations took part in the conference with their lectures on various topics.
The goal of the conference was to further study the history of the Turkish people, interpret their political, economic, cultural, and geographical past, create resources that serve the idea of unity and brotherhood, and provide them for future generations.
Oybek Norinboev, the general secretary of the Geographical Council of the Turkic States, who opened the event with his opening remarks, reflected on the incomparable role of Turkestan in connection with the rich culture and history of the Turkic states.
Also, Rector of the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan Sherzodkhan Qudrathoja, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Mirvahid Azimov, Rector of Istanbul Commercial University Abdulhamid Avshar, Director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Azamat Ziya gave a speech and emphasized the historical significance of the international conference today.
"Within the framework of the international conference, we discussed the cooperation of the Turkic world, the incomparable role of the great Turkestan, the importance of today's organization of Turkic times," said Mustafa Demirci, professor of the Faculty of Literature of the Selcuk University of Turkey.
At the event, it was also reported that it is difficult to achieve the goals without joint projects between the scientists of the Turkic countries. Therefore, it was also said that it is necessary to unite and develop things in cooperation.
Lectures on Turkic unity, the ancient past of the Turkic world, Turkestan statehood, Turkic culture and art, and the contribution of the people of Turkestan to science and the development of the Islamic religion were heard within the framework of the conference.
"Today we see in the positive examples of the heads of state that the Turkic peoples need harmony, solidarity, and cohesion," said Sherzodkhan Qudrathoja, rector of UzJOKU. - Today we even want to speak in one Middle Turkic language. Although we are geographically located on different continents, the cooperation of Turkic countries unites us."
At the scientific-practical meeting, "Politics and administration in Turkestan, the foundations of Turkish statehood traditions", "Science and culture in Turkestan or Movarounnahr as a symbol of medieval classical Islamic culture", "Architectural monuments and art of Turkestan", "The place of Turkestan in the life of Turkic and regional peoples and importance", presentations on topics such as "Turkestan and the Turkic world" were shown.
As a practical result of the conference, the scientific articles of the speaking scientists and participants will be published in a separate collection.
