A competition among BRICS member countries has started in Kazan

A competition on the recitation of the Holy Qur'an with the participation of reciters from 20 countries of the BRICS countries, as well as the Arab-Muslim world - the CIS, Asia and Africa - has started in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. The winner will receive a cash prize of $7,000.

Islam News reports that a competition on the recitation of the Holy Qur'an between BRICS member states has started today in the city of Kazan.

"For the first time, a major international religious competition - the BRICS countries ' Qur'anic Award - is starting in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, and a prize will be awarded to the best snowman. The best reciters from 20 countries of the BRICS countries and the Arab-Muslim world - the CIS, Asia and Africa - are taking part in the competition," said Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, quoted by "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".

The reciter who skillfully recites the Holy Word will be rewarded. The recitations of the poems will be evaluated by a jury from Russia, UAE, Egypt, Bangladesh and Iran headed by Khalifa Mesbah al-Tuneyji, head of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah.

At the event In addition to the recitation of the word of God , the guests will be shown a theatrical performance telling about the preservation of the spiritual and moral values and meanings of the Qur'an. The contest ends on July 26.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $7,000. Second and third place winners will receive $5,000 and $3,000, respectively.
