6 Uzbeks killed by counterfeit vodka in Istanbul




Cases of poisoning due to the distribution of counterfeit alcoholic beverages have been observed in Istanbul. According to the information received, 38 people have been poisoned in the last 24 hours, and 11 have died. Among the deceased are 6 citizens of Uzbekistan.

Istanbul police launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident and arrested two Turkmen citizens suspected of manufacturing counterfeit drinks. A criminal case has been opened against them.

It is noted that 26 of those poisoned by counterfeit alcohol sold in the Aksaray district of Istanbul are foreigners. The deceased Uzbeks are men aged 35-40, and they are survived by minor children.
