Kindness and Forgiveness in Islam: The Impact of Ramadan on Humanity

Kindness and forgiveness are of great importance in Islam, and these qualities are even more evident during the month of Ramadan. During this blessed month, a person not only abstains from food and drink, but also strives to purify his soul and cleanse his heart of bad qualities. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The strong man is not the one who wins the battle, but the one who controls his anger" (Bukhari, Muslim). This hadith shows how important it is for a person to maintain his spiritual balance and be forgiving.

The virtues of kindness and forgiveness

Kindness and forgiveness are qualities that illuminate the human heart, and they are important not only for personal life, but also for society. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty encourages His servants to be kind and forgiving:

"Forgive and enjoin what is right and turn away from the ignorant" (Al-A'raf, 199). Another verse says: "Nor is there any equal between good and evil. Repel with that which is right. And behold, he between whom and you there was enmity, as if he were a close friend. Only those who are patient will attain it. Only those who are endowed with a great destiny will attain it" (Fussilat, 34-35).

Forgiveness elevates a person's soul and brings him closer to Allah. In this regard, our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah loves those who forgive." (Abu Dawud). In another hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "On the Day of Judgment, a caller will call out: 'Where are the people who forgive people? Come to your Lord and receive your reward.'"

The importance of kindness and forgiveness during Ramadan

Ramadan is a month of worship, piety and spiritual purification. During this month, a person should love not only himself, but also those around him, show kindness and compassion. Forgiveness frees a person from anger and resentment, and leads him to a calm and peaceful life. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever harbors hatred in his heart during Ramadan, his fast will not be complete" (Ibn Majah).

Ramadan is an opportunity for a person to educate himself. During this month, it is important to be kind not only to Allah Almighty, but also to people. According to the hadiths, fasting teaches patience and kindness along with difficulties. A forgiving person purifies his heart from envy, hatred, enmity, and anger.

The harms of cake, husumat and araz

Eating cakes and pastries has a serious impact not only on mental but also physical health. Psychology and medicine have shown that this condition can lead to diseases such as stress, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, and stomach ulcers. The hadith states: "Cake leads a person to destruction" (Tabarani).

In particular, Dr. Michael Berry writes in his book "The Cancer Cure": "In fact, being forgiving and generous has a positive effect on human health. Scientific studies have shown that nervous tension, resentment, and resentment negatively affect the digestive and circulatory systems, which in turn leads to cancer."

From a social perspective, anger and resentment lead to increased strife and discord in society. The Holy Quran states: "And whoever is patient and forgives, those are the ones who are among the great ones" (Ash-Shu'ra, 43). This verse confirms that forgiveness is a great virtue in all circumstances.

In conclusion, kindness and forgiveness are one of the main factors for the development of the human spirit and society. The month of Ramadan is the most suitable time to put these qualities into practice. During this month, not only praying, but also showing kindness to those around you and proclaiming forgiveness, elevates a person spiritually and leads to happiness in this world and the hereafter. May Allah Almighty make us all among the kind and forgiving servants! Amen.
