Was the attack in New Orleans a provocation against Trump?
Terrorist attacks are on the rise in the United States with just days left before President-elect Trump takes office. In particular, in the early hours of the new year, 15 people were killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans. In Las Vegas, pyrotechnics or explosives loaded into the trunk of a Tesla car were detonated in front of the Trump Tower hotel. One person was killed and seven others were injured in the incident.
Following the escalation of attacks, Turkish newspaper columnist Cem Küçük made a logical point. Speaking live on TGRT news, Küçük said: "A signal is being sent to Trump: 'Look, ISIS is not over here yet, the fight is ongoing. If you withdraw the troops, this is what will happen in the United States.'"
"How could such an attack happen in the United States, which has an annual defense budget of $2.5 trillion and is very well protected? Or was it done by the CIA and the Pentagon?" he asked.
