Was Benjamin Netanyahu poisoned?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with intestinal inflammation, after allegedly suffering from food poisoning. The Israeli government's health office said Netanyahu will rest at home for the next three days, but will continue to carry out state duties from there.

According to the statement, Netanyahu, 75, felt unwell overnight and was diagnosed by doctors with intestinal inflammation and dehydration. He is being given intravenous fluids.

Reuters reported that Netanyahu had his prostate removed in December last year after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection.

Notably, Jewish publications are accusing the prime minister of trickery: Netanyahu's "conducting state affairs from home" will prevent him from attending criminal court hearings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The hearings will now only resume in September, when the courts return from recess.
