Uzbekistan Airways has introduced new flight routes to Europe based on a report from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Now, planes will bypass Russian airspace and fly via Azerbaijan and Turkey.
According to Shukhrat Khudoykulov, the company's chairman of the board, the company has not increased fares, although the change in routes will extend flight time by 30-40 minutes.
The decision was made to ensure safety, and the flight control center is analyzing the situation in the airspace every second.
The company's management also announced that a commission urgently formed by the government is taking measures to further strengthen security.
