A group of U.S. Republican senators has threatened International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan with "severe sanctions" after warning that an international arrest warrant would be issued against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials.

US senators threatened not to issue an arrest warrant to the International Criminal Court prosecutor for Netanyahu.

The letter to Attorney General Khan said that if he were to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and other Israeli officials, the situation "would be interpreted as a threat not only to the sovereignty of Israel, but to the sovereignty of the United States.

"If you target Israel, we will target you," the senators threatened to the chief prosecutor of the JJS.
It was reported that at the end of the letter addressed to the General Prosecutor of the State Security Service, there were threatening words "you have been warned".

It is noted that the issue of the possible issue of an ICJ warrant for the arrest of Israeli officials for attacks on the Gaza Strip was on the agenda of the phone conversation between Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden.

According to the Israeli website Walla, over the past two weeks, Israeli authorities have been seriously concerned that Israeli authorities are preparing to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Chief of Staff Gerzi Halevi.

According to the two Israeli officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Netanyahu raised concerns about a possible arrest warrant for Biden by the FBI.
