Ukraine established a military headquarters in the Kursk region of Russia
In order to "maintain law and order and ensure the priority needs of the population", Ukraine established a military command in the territory of the Kursk region of Russia. It also announced plans to establish a "buffer zone" in Kursk, and told Russians in need of humanitarian aid or wanting to move to Ukraine to contact them by phone or email.
Ukraine has established a military headquarters in the Kursk region of Russia, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Sirsky reported.
According to the official Ukrainian military , commandat ura was created to "maintain law and order and ensure the priority needs of the population." Major General Eduard Moskalev was appointed as its head.
Earlier, the Minister of Reintegration of Ukraine, Irina Vereshchuk, announced that a possible route of a humanitarian corridor for civilians from the Kursk region to Sumy is being developed with the military.
He also said that Ukraine plans to create a "security zone" in the Kursk region and should be ready to receive Russians "due to the possible deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the neighboring regions of Russia." His ministry urged residents of the Russian region who need humanitarian aid or "want to evacuate to Ukraine" to contact them by phone or email.
