Two Orthodox Jewish rabbis were arrested for "inciting anti-Semitism" at the end of a 15,000-strong pro-Palestinian march in London. The organizers of the march criticized the police actions.

Organizers of the pro-Palestinian march in London, which attracted about 15,000 participants, criticized the actions of the police, writes TRT.

It is noted that at the end of the march, two orthodox Jewish rabbis were arrested "for inciting anti-Semitism". The police believed that the rabbis were trying to incite hatred against their own people.

The police accused them of inciting racial hatred by burning the Israeli flag at night and arrested them as they were returning home at the end of the event.

"The police have really plumbed new depths of absurdity by arresting rabbis for inciting anti-Semitism. They know they will never be tried in court, but they do it because of the political pressure they face, to intimidate, harass and discourage pro-Palestinian protesters . Past "We are very surprised by the performance of the police this year compared to previous years. The police are very politicized and this has led to unjustified arrests," said Masood Shajare, chairman of the London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission.

Earlier, Robin Simcox, the British government's counter-extremism commissioner, said that the center of London has become a dangerous place for Jews as a result of protests calling for a cease-fire in Gaza. Many anti-war Jewish movements, including Columbia University academic Barnaby Raine, criticized Simcox's remarks, noting that thousands of Jews in the United States and Britain were participating in pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
