Trump imposes additional 100% tariff on Chinese products

The US government will impose a 100% tariff on all products imported from China starting November 1, on top of existing tariffs, US President Donald Trump announced.

Trump also added that restrictions would be imposed on the export of all types of critical software.

The White House leader cited China's "extremely aggressive stance on trade" as the reason for the introduction of additional tariffs.

The Chinese side has not yet commented on Trump's statement.
