During the war in Gaza, Morocco plans to buy a spy satellite for $1 billion. At the beginning of 2024, the volume of bilateral trade reached $53.2 million, which is 64% more than in 2023.

Cooperation between Morocco and Israel dates back to the 1960s and was formalized in 1986 after a meeting between King Hassan II and Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres.
