Three killed in mine collapse in northern Tajikistan

Three people have died in a collapse at the Fon-Yagnob coal mine in the Aini district of the Sughd region in northern Tajikistan . The incident may have been caused by a violation of safety regulations or unstable rock conditions in the area.

Three people have died in a collapse at the Fon-Yagnob coal mine in the Aini district of the Sughd region in northern Tajikistan, the Tajik Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense reported.

According to the committee , mine rescuers from the Sughd region of the Emergency Situations Committee were mobilized to the scene to carry out rescue operations.

Rescuers who arrived at the scene recovered the bodies of three miners born in 1978, 1983, and 1984. The bodies were taken to the district hospital.

According to rescuers, the causes of the mine collapse are currently being investigated by the competent authorities.
