They are automating the shooting of Palestinians.
The Israeli army has begun installing remotely controlled automated weapons at checkpoints in the occupied West Bank. The Rohe-Yore (See-Shoot) system, developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, is equipped with advanced surveillance equipment and a remote fire control mechanism.
Previously used only in the Gaza Strip, the system is now being deployed at strategic points in the West Bank. The decision was made to protect settlements, which violates international law.
Violence in the West Bank has escalated in recent months. Palestinian doctors say more than 800 Palestinians have been killed and more than 6,500 injured by Israeli forces. Settlements in occupied territories are illegal under international law.
