US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said at a White House press conference that Iran was responsible for the attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea.
"We will take the appropriate steps in consultation with others and we will do it at a time and place of our choosing," said Sullivan, who announced the US plan to create a "maritime security force" to prevent new attacks with other countries.
Sullivan added that the US Navy destroyer USS Carney shot down three unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) that were moving towards it while responding to a distress call from commercial vessels in the southern Red Sea.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that 3 commercial ships were attacked 4 times in international waters south of the Red Sea.
Let us remind you that earlier it was said that the Yemeni Navy attacked the Unity Explorer ship of Great Britain with missiles, and the Number Nine ship, which was leased to an Israeli company, with the help of drones. On November 20, the cargo ship Galaxy Leader belonging to Israel was captured, and 5,000 electric cars loaded on it were seized as loot.
