The Slovenian government recognized Palestine as an independent state
The government of Slovenia adopted a decision on the recognition of the Palestinian state. This decision will now be submitted to the parliament for final approval. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanya Fajon announced that the parliament may vote on the recognition of Palestine on June 4.
The government of Slovenia adopted a decision on the recognition of the Palestinian state. Earlier, the Prime Minister of the country, Robert Golob, announced that the government will make a decision on the recognition of the Palestinian state on Thursday.
The decision will be submitted to the Parliament for final approval after it is adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanya Fajon said that the parliamentary vote on the recognition of Palestine can be held on June 4.
Last week, Norway , Ireland and Spain also announced that they would recognize Palestine as a state.
