The number of victims of rain and floods in Sudan has reached 77 people
In the past three days, 34 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Nile River Province.
In the past three days, 34 people have died and 588 others have been injured as a result of floods in the Nile River region of Sudan, the Sudanese Red Crescent Society reports.
24,104 houses were completely destroyed, 8,016 houses were partially destroyed.
The Northern Region Health Department has reported that 11 people have died and 86 have been injured due to heavy rains and floods in the last three days.
Negative consequences affected 2,385 houses in the region, 2,488 of which were partially destroyed and 346 were completely destroyed.
Since June, the number of people killed in the country due to heavy rains and floods has reached 77.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Sudan reported that 73,000 people were affected by the floods caused by the heavy rains that engulfed the country, and 14,000 houses were partially or completely destroyed.
Currently, floods are observed in 11 out of 18 regions of Sudan, 21,370 people were forced to leave their homes.
Sudan's Ministry of Health reported on August 5 that 32 people died and 107 others were injured due to heavy rains and floods in seven provinces of the country since June.
In Sudan, heavy rains, floods and floods from July to October kill more than 100 people and damage tens of thousands of homes, workplaces and crops every year.
