The Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu

The International Criminal Court decided to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as the commander-in-chief of Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Daif, who committed war crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

"The Pre-Investigation Chamber of the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed at least from October 8, 2023 to May 20, 2024," the document says.
The International Criminal Court rejected Tel Aviv's arguments.

"It is not necessary for Israel to accept the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, because the court can exercise its jurisdiction on the basis of the territorial jurisdiction of Palestine as established by the First Chamber in its previous composition [...] In addition, until the issuance of a warrant for the arrest of the state, Article 19, Part 2 does not have the right to object to the jurisdiction of the court," the document says.
Commenting on the situation, Dmitry Gendelman, adviser to the office of the Prime Minister of Israel, noted that the decision of the International Criminal Court contributes to the campaign to isolate Israel and facilitates terrorist attacks against the Jewish state. The court thus sided with the "regional war started by the Iranian regime," the speaker said.

Prosecutor Karim Khan submitted an application to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant to the International Criminal Court's Sudoldi Chamber in May of last year. In his statement, he emphasized that politicians are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the military campaign that began in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. Israel has denied the allegations and refused to cooperate with the International Criminal Court.

The International Criminal Court also decided to arrest the commander-in-chief of Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammad Daif.
