As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov noted earlier, the last topic was supported and the General Secretary of the CSTO Imangali Tasmagambetov was invited to speak at this meeting. In addition, as Nebenzya noted earlier, at the next meeting of the UN Security Council, the topic of the attack on the civil infrastructure of Sevastopol by Ukraine with ATACMS tactical missiles equipped with cluster heads will be raised.

In general, during a month, the UN Security Council holds about twenty open meetings and closed consultations.

The UN Security Council consists of 15 members, including five permanent members - Great Britain, China, Russia, the United States and France. Each of the five has veto power. The ten non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council are Algeria, Guyana, Malta, Mozambique, the Republic of Korea, Slovenia, Sierra Leone, Switzerland, Ecuador and Japan. According to the Charter of the World Organization, the Security Council is responsible for maintaining peace and international security, and all UN member states are obliged to obey its decisions.

The countries represented in the Security Council conduct their work in turn in alphabetical order of the English language. The presidency of the country's Security Council lasts for one calendar month. In June, the Republic of Korea performed these tasks, and in August, Sierra Leone will lead the work of the Security Council.

Russia coordinated the activities of the main structure of the world organization for the last time in April 2023.
