Strict measures will be taken against those who perform Hajj without permission

Starting today, Saudi Arabia announced that it will take strict measures against those who perform or attempt to perform the Hajj pilgrimage without a permit , the Saudi Gazette reported.


Now, those who participate in the Hajj without permission or enter the pilgrimage areas illegally will be fined up to 20,000 Saudi riyals ($5,300).


Those who enter or remain in Mecca illegally on a pilgrimage visa can be fined up to 100,000 riyals ($26,000).


The report also states that those who attempt to enter Mecca without permission, including those with expired visas, will be deported and banned from entering Saudi Arabia for 10 years.


Earlier, the Saudi Prosecutor General's Office warned that certain individuals and organizations were illegally organizing the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, endangering the safety of citizens .
