Shooting outside Supreme Court building in Tehran: Two judges killed

Two judges, Ali Razini and Mohammad Mokiseh, were killed and another judge was wounded in an armed attack outside the Supreme Court building in the Iranian capital, IRNA reported.

The shooting occurred in the morning. An unknown person attacked the judges with a gun and then committed suicide. According to preliminary investigation, the attacker is not directly related to any case considered by the Supreme Court.

It is noted that Ali Razini was also on the verge of becoming an assassination victim in 1998. At that time, he was serving as the Chief Judge of Tehran, and attackers planted a bomb in his car, which injured Razini as a result of the explosion.

The investigation into the motives of the crime and the identity of the attacker is ongoing. Iranian law enforcement agencies are expected to release additional information about the investigation in the coming days.
