The international organization Save the Children reported that since October 7, 2023, 1 percent of the 1.1 million minor children in Gaza - more than 10,000 have died as a result of Israeli attacks. The organization said that the children who survived the massacres are also facing indescribable horrors and are suffering lifelong injuries in their bodies and minds.
The international organization Save the Children reported that 1 percent of children in the Gaza Strip became victims of Israeli attacks.
Human rights defenders reminded that more than 10,000 children were killed during Israeli attacks on the occupied exclave , and 1.1 million minors live in Gaza.
Thus, 1 percent of children in the region were killed during attacks by the Israeli army, the report said.
"Child survivors of violence in the Gaza Strip face unspeakable horrors, including life-changing injuries, burns, illnesses, lack of medical care, and separation from parents and other loved ones. With no safe haven, they are repeatedly forced to flee violence and face the horror of an uncertain future," the report said.
"The situation in Gaza is terrible and a disaster for all humanity."
Save the Children 's director of the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Jason Lee, said Palestinian children are paying a heavy price for the lack of a cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
"On average, 100 children are dying every day because the final peace has not been achieved. There is no justification for killing children. The situation in the Gaza Strip is terrible and a disaster for all humanity," he said.
Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have killed 23,469 Palestinians since October 7, 2023, including 10,300 children and 7,100 women.
