Russians can enter and exit Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days

The Republic of Uzbekistan is working on introducing a visa-free entry procedure for Russian citizens with an internal passport or ID card for up to 30 days.

According to Izvestia, in practice, Russians can enter Uzbekistan only with a foreign passport, and the visa-free regime is valid for up to 15 days. After this period, citizens are required to temporarily register. In Central Asia, only Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan allow Russian citizens to enter with internal passports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that this initiative is not limited to Russia. It is planned to introduce similar benefits for citizens of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Negotiations are currently underway and relevant proposals are being prepared.
