Russian language education in Tajikistan begins in kindergarten

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has announced in his address to parliament that the country is in dire need of Russian language teachers. He proposed teaching Russian to citizens starting in kindergarten and gave instructions on updating curricula and improving the skills of teachers.

The President emphasized the importance of not only providing students with learning materials, but also providing them with a quality education and teaching them foreign languages.

He also noted the problem of a shortage of schools in the country, saying that it is necessary to create more than 100,000 places for students. Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to further support the work of Russian teachers in Tajikistan.
