Russia to introduce Muslim-friendly tourism system

Russia plans to offer more attractive services to tourists from the Islamic world.

According to Kommersant, a special state standard will be developed by the end of 2025 that will meet the requirements of halal in hotels and tourist facilities.

This makes Russia one of the few countries where the requirements for providing honest services are officially regulated.

Anton Shalaev, head of Rosstandart, told TASS news agency that the standard is being developed to attract more tourists from Muslim countries. At the same time, it could also help Russian manufacturers export more products to such countries.
