Russia occupied Gornyak and Selidovo

Russian troops occupied the city of Gornyak in the Donetsk region and entered several other settlements in the region , Ukrainian analysts of the DeepState project report.

In addition to Gornyak, Selidovo, Bogoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, as well as areas near Shakhtyorsky and Novoalekse e vka, also came under Russian control. Analysts clarify that a small part of Bogoyavlenki remains in the gray zone.

Russian war correspondent Yuriy Kotenok reported that the Ukrainian armed forces had left Selidovo. According to him, the Russian troops continue to "clear the territory, identify and destroy pockets of resistance, as well as capture scattered groups of Ukrainian servicemen."

The city of Gornyak is strategically important for traffic in the direction of Pokrovsk.

Let us remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that more than 2,000 soldiers of the Ukrainian army, who invaded the Kurs region of the Russian Federation in August, were surrounded and were being destroyed. In September and October, Russian troops attempted a counteroffensive. According to Ukraine's DeepState analysis project in mid-October, no more than 660 square kilometers remained under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and another 360 square kilometers was a "gray zone".
