Russia introduces new state fees for migrants

President Vladimir Putin has signed a law introducing new state fees for migrants in Russia starting in September 2025, and increasing the amount of previously applicable fees.

In particular, starting September 1, a fee of 500 rubles will be introduced for registering foreign citizens at their place of residence, as well as 1,000 rubles for extending the period of temporary stay.

In addition, a fee of 4.2 thousand rubles will apply for the issuance or re-issuance of a patent.

To extend the validity of a work permit, migrants will have to pay 4.2 thousand rubles, and to issue a duplicate or make amendments to the permit, they will have to pay 2.1 thousand rubles.
