Pakistan shoots down French Rafale jets with Chinese J-10C jets

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced in parliament that the Pakistani Air Force had shot down five Indian warplanes, including three French-made Rafales, using Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets.

A French intelligence source, speaking to CNN, also confirmed that an Indian Rafale jet was shot down by Pakistan. He stressed that other similar cases are being investigated.

If officially confirmed, this could go down in history as the first time a J-10C has shot down another military aircraft in combat. It would also mark the first time a Rafale has been shot down from the air.

India exposes missile remnants and drones

Indian media reported that debris from PL-15E missiles, which are used on Chinese-made J-10C aircraft, has been found in the country's Punjab state. Images purportedly of the missiles have been circulating online.

Fragments of an Indian drone were also found in Pakistan's Punjab province. A suspected Indian spy drone was also shot down in Lahore, with explosions and sirens heard at the scene. The drone was shot down by a jamming device.

Pakistan shoots down 25 Indian drones

The Pakistani military has said it has shot down 25 Indian-made Harop armed drones since the attacks began. The drones are Israeli-made and are considered "kamikaze" drones. Their parts are being collected in various parts of the country.

The drones were shot down in areas including Lahore, Attock, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Karachi, Miyano, Char, and Rawalpindi near Islamabad. The attacks left four soldiers injured in Lahore, one civilian injured, and one civilian killed in Sindh province.
