The PKK was also pushed out of the center of Deir ez-Zor region, Tal-Rifat, Bukamal and Mayyadin regions. Israel called the PKK a "stabilizing force in the region" and called on the international community to support it.

On December 9, opposition forces in Syria completely captured the city of Manbij, which was under the control of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). This was reported by the Reuters agency based on its source in Ankara.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 26 people were killed and 40 others were wounded during the battle for the city northeast of Aleppo, Syria. Also, videos showing the bodies of children who died of hunger in camps under the control of the PKK were circulated on social networks.

The local paramilitary forces, acting in cooperation with the groups that overthrew the Assad regime, pushed the PKK out of the Deir ez-Zor provincial capital, Tal Rifat, Bukamal and Mayyadin areas.

In turn, Israel condemned Manbij's cleansing of PKK militants and said that the international community should support the PKK, which "has an important role in ensuring stability in the region."

The head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Gideon Saar, said on his page on the social network that the operation in Manbij was discussed with the United States, and called for it to be completed as soon as possible.
