North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly unanimously approved the cancellation of all economic cooperation agreements with South Korea .

Laws of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Council "On economic cooperation between North and South Korea" and " Ki mgangsan special international tourism zone" and the rules of their execution, the decree on the cancellation of the agreements on inter-Korean economic cooperation was adopted unanimously," the report said.
A joint tourism project of the Republic of Korea and the DPRK in the Kimgangsan Mountains, north of the eastern border, has attracted about 2 million South Korean visitors , becoming a symbol of economic cooperation that began when the two countries cooperated in the early 2000s.
After an incident in 2008 that killed a South Korean tourist, Seoul decided to suspend cooperation indefinitely. In September 2018, the presidents and leaders of the two Koreas agreed at a summit in Pyongyang to revive the project in the Ki Mgangsan Mountains, but no further steps have been taken to implement these agreements.
