New mosque named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened in Guinea
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening of a new mosque named after him in the Guinean capital, Conakry, via video conference.
According to the Anadolu news agency, the foundation stone of this mosque was laid by Erdogan in 2023, and it has an area of 3,200 square meters. 2,100 people can pray here at the same time.
In his speech, Erdogan emphasized that a mosque is not just a building made of stone and mortar, but a product of reason, faith and conscience. "Today, we are not only opening a mosque, but also building a bridge of brotherhood that connects hearts to hearts," he said.
