Mosques in Russia are said to be open to all in bad weather



Ildar Alyautdinov, Deputy Chairman of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia and Mufti of Moscow, said that mosques in the country are open to anyone suffering from heat or cold.

The mufti said that anyone who feels unwell due to the weather, regardless of their religion, can enter the mosque to rest and drink water. If necessary, mosque staff will call an ambulance.

In turn, the guest must also respect the internal rules of the mosque. In particular, they are required not to disturb the peace, not to disturb worshipers, and women are required to wear special robes and headscarves.
