Meta is following Israel's lead

Since October 7, 2023, Meta has complied with 94% of content removal requests from the Israeli government.

According to Drop Site News, posts on Facebook and Instagram were deleted using the same template, regardless of content. Meta used an automated filtering method powered by artificial intelligence rather than traditional moderation.

Israel has been removing content primarily targeting Arab and Muslim users, making it the world's leader in content removal.

Meta's internal investigations found no violations in the pro-Palestinian posts.

Palestinian activists and communities have accused Meta of censorship for years, saying it serves Israeli interests and conceals the genocide.
