Investigations by +972 and Local Call magazines have revealed that Israel is using AI -based targeting systems.

According to current and former Israeli intelligence officials, these factors may have played a role in one of the deadliest military campaigns against Palestinians since the 1948 Nakba.

Compared to previous Israeli attacks on Gaza, the army has greatly expanded its bombing of non-military targets in the current war, which Israel calls Operation Iron Swords, and which began after Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7.
