It is said that there was a strong explosion near the airport in Iran

A loud explosion was heard near the international airport of the city of Zahidan (Sistan and Baluchistan province) in the southeast of Iran. This is reported by Persian Telegram channels.

It is not yet known what caused the explosion and whether there were any casualties. Iranian officials have not commented on this situation either.

It is worth noting that the Sunni Baloch region of Sistan and Balochistan is the largest center of protest in Iran, characterized by frequent anti-government demonstrations and clashes with security forces.

That is why the Iranian parliament was debating the proposal to divide this region into 4 regions with different names. Also, issues of relocation of 10 million people and transfer of Sistan and Baluchistan coasts to other provinces are being considered.
